Nosemort fanfic, as requested: He sighed as he stared at his cold hard reflection in the mirror of his bedroom, shortly after the Triwizard Tournement fiasco. That has been a nightmare and a half. Not only had the Potter boy escaped, but now he had warned the entire wizarding world that he was back. Hopefully, he could rely on Cornelius Fudge to hush it all up for him for a while...but that would only last a while. Dumbledore would believe the boy and start rallying against him. And now, the situation deepened. He could take on the wizarding world with no family, no friends. He could do it without any kind of emotion, or regret. He could even do it without his wand if needs must, but he could not take over the wizarding world without a nose. How embarrassing. He ran the slender spider-like fingers of his white hands over the slits where his nose once was. He failed to understand what had happened. The potion had been correctly brewed, he had been restored to life...but without the most prominent feature of his face. What kind of a potion leaves one with no nose? Frightful. Muggles stared at him in the streets when he walked through town...hairless and noseless. A child had even congratulated him for his Halloween costume one October when he had been wearing only a plain black robe. He had locked himself in his room for a week after that one. Wormtail had to tell him that he looked marvellous so many times before he gained the confidence to leave the house again. Oh nose, oh nose, oh where art thou fled? He muttered to himself, paraphrasing a poem he had read many years ago. He often thought that wearing a hat would draw peoples attention away from his face but it did not. He also tried glasses...well that was an all-round ghastly experience. Glasses apparently do not stay on ones face when one has no nose. Nose... He sniffed to himself as a tear rolled down one cheek and between his nostrils as there was nothing there to stop it. How am I to live without you...? -CloakNimbus
