Not getting a lot done today because of a cold and babying my back, but my raspberries still have to be picked. I missed a couple of days this week and you cant do that when theyre ripening like they are now. Love picking them though--see how many ripe ones had accumulated! I bag them, as you see, and freeze them. Good for all kinds of things. Also a picture here of the number of bags all these berries today amounted to. A record! This year couldnt have been better weather for raspberries. We make jam and sell the jam and the bags of berries to raise funds for projects like restoring the Spear barn or Tiptons Union School. If youre interested in any of this stuff (raspberry, raspberry and cherry and grape jam, plus the bagged berries), let me know. Grow the berries and cherries behind our house and berries come from the community garden, too.
