Not impressed with children, who think they can rule the roost, and with the female gender (everything is much more of a drama-queen) thing going on and theyv reached that pre-teen age group, where they try to be alpha-dog over Mum. Demanding what they want, not appreciating their home and family and not listening, being smart under theyr breath, plus setting a bad example in behavior for their younger siblings to follow. Or when they are meant to be in bed asleep but they are secretly staying up late, wanting to control what I do in my wind down time. As a matter of fact, I dont really like being told what I can and cant do by a child, especially when that child, has all of their needs met, has a loving home, care and provision and gets to have a supported social life, education and sports but cant even keep her own room clean and tidy when asked, or when that child is given pocket money, but moans or refuses to do their chores, e.g. dishes or washing. Not exactly slave-driver tasks expected of them. Or when they are rude and bad mannered to my visitors, simply because they decided they dont want you to have friends or they are tryna make a Punk out of you in front of friends, but instead they cry for their step-father, who clearly hasnt resolved his dysfunctional issues. Tekoha Im grateful for the help you do around here for your home and family and You are loved very much and as the oldest daughter, you have taken on alot of responsibility in this one-parent home, however Im not going to put up with disrespectful children, so ya pocket money is confiscated, because your attitude hasnt earnt it this week, when you wanna go out with friends this weekend the answer is NO! hand your phone and ipod over, get off my laptop and You will be grounded and taught some manners and respect towards your Mother(ME), who last time I checked is the only one raising you and financially and physically supporting you in your wellbeing. It aint flash but at least its more than most have done for You and I dont have people around here that will harm You, so dont be so rude and judgemental, to the ones that come here and help me with Your chores, keeping me company and making me happy!. #ResponsibleParenting101
