Not many people know that hyper concentration of wealth by the top 1% leads to massive destabilization of the economy as a whole (the mechanism for this is the removal of money from the economy when one person hoards it; theres only so many things a billionaire can buy so they dont add to the economy, they take away from it)- deregulation and massive quick profits are part of what caused the 2008 global meltdown (also caused the Great Depression)- and that problem is far from fixed. I just cant understand how we allow this class of people to destabilize our economy, not to mention our environment- make them pay their taxes like the rest of us!
