Not much for the Romance genre, but just saw Woody Allens Midnight in Paris, and loved it. Great characters, gorgeous cinematography. Very Woody Allen without Woody Allen (he doesnt star, just directs). Without giving too much of it away, its about a writer who visits the city with his impassive fiancee and her family, and all the while wonders what it would be like to live in 1920s Paris among the writers and artists of the Lost Generation. The film stars Owen Wilson, Marion Cotillard, and Rachel McAdams as the main players, and a number of well known actors and actresses (Kathy Bates, Adrien Brody, etc.) as famous Parisians and ex-Patriots (Picasso, Gertrude Stein, Scott Fitzgerald, Dali, and so on).
