Not much leaves me stunned but yesterday my leg swelled to twice its normal size to the point I couldnt bend it. I must admit I wasnt overly worried as Id walked a lot yesterday plus my chemo and medication but as it was still swollen today I was upset as I was unable to attend hospice because I couldnt get dressed as none of my jeans fitted me ( my leg was that swollen) by lunch time it was still swollen but Id noticed it had gone down a bit. So I got dressed and went to see the pain specialist. I explained about my leg and he said it could be DVT! Just glad he never said D.L.T (Dave lee travis for anyone who didnt know) lol anyway,he said I need to see my G.P. So I explained again that its almost impossible to get in to see my Dr. His response was oh Im sorry to hear that? Lol so on top of that I asked for the meds hed mentioned to me (he wanted me to ask my G.P for them) as he was filling prescription form in he said the hospital dont like us filling these in? So I come from there feeling like crap:-/ on top of having to pay for my own painkillers ( which is getting sorted) and paying for my own dressings. Im just slowly giving up:-/ all this running around, fighting for things that,to be honest, should come straight forward for ALL cancer patients, is making me emotionally and physically tired.:-( soo fed up. ........ Still tomorrow is another day.:-)
