Not one but two of our student athletes have been nominated as SportsNHs athlete of the week!! Quentin Bazarnicki, Boys’ Track and Field, a senior, was the best athlete of the track Saturday during the Connecticut Valley Conference championships at Fall Mountain. He won the 300 hurdles, triple jump and pole vault and was second in the 110 hurdles. Four days earlier at the CVC South qualifier, Bazarnicki won all four of those events. Kayla Blair, Girls’ Track and Field. The Monadnock girls edged Lebanon by 2 ½ points for the CVC title and the key moment might have Blair’s performance in the 800 and 1,600. The sophomore won both races, giving Monadnock 20 points; Lebanon garnered a total of one point in those races. She also anchored the second-place 4x400 team. Get out and vote!!
