I was outside watering the other day when I looked up in the sky and saw a small cloud. It reminded me of the story in the Bible in 1 Kings where Elijah and Ahab experienced the end of the drought. Elijah had his servant look out toward the sea 7 times, on the 7th time he saw a cloud the size of a mans hand rising up out of the sea. And Elijah instructed Ahab to get going in his chariot before the rain stopped him. The end of the drought was an amazing miracle, but also God empowered Elijah that he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel. I dont know too many people that can run faster than horses. There has been drought not only on the land but in the spirit of many people, I am included in that. There is a cloud on the horizon and we need to get ready for the rain, the drought is over and God wants to pour out the spiritual rain on our dry hearts and make the deserts into lavish green productive land again.
