Not seeing much posting yet, so in case you havent heard, Joan Rivers has died at age 81. I cant say I followed much of Rivers career. Aside from her standup (which I hear is very good), I can guess that her other endeavors wouldnt offer much to me personally. To me, she was more or a celebrity by definition than anything else. But one thing that will really stick with me is her guest appearance in Louie Season 2. Louie is feeling frustrated about a particular gig. He wants to express himself how he wants, but his employer is setting ground rules he cant abide. After walking out, he catches Rivers backstage. The revalation she shares with Louie is something I cant help but get emotional over. Her words or not, Im sure she believed them. And its something Ill never forget Rest in Peace, Mrs. Rivers.
