(Not sure how Im going to articulate this idea, but its brewing for a future blog post.) At some point, I stopped feeling like the future was an adventurous path because I was securely locked into the daily routines of my life. And when I wasnt really paying attention, the math changed and it hit me upside the head. I was past the middle of my expected life span if I were a healthy person and much closer to the end of it considering my previous health condition. There are probably more years behind me than ahead regardless. (True, no one knows the plan, but I do understand the statistics.) I had to ask Is this all there is? The answer was depressing. So I changed almost everything. I know thats why Im impatient and driven. Its like I didnt become me until a few years ago... I just got here... and Im behind.
