Not sure if this is right.. but read this though :) Though Mahabali is a Demon king, he was pious enough to offer Lord Vamana his head for the third foot and in turn he requested Lord Vamana that he will come to earth on the same day every year and have a look at the people and land he once ruled. If he sees people happy and united he will get back to his Under world. If he sees the other way then he will be back to the land as the king. Hence to ensure that whenever Mahabali comes to visit their land, the people make sure to show him that they are happy and joyous without him. On the lighter side.. i think considering the current Rupee and economy situation, we should make him stay as he is not that harsh compared to the one in the Parliament.
