Not sure where to go or who to contact, so perhaps someone can help. To do with the Tove Roundabout improvements. We live in Greens Norton. Our son walks to work in Towcester. He walks up the Towcester Road and somehow manages to cross the A43 to walk down the High Street. Yesterday, he did his usual thing, and close to Wayside VW, a sign said footpath closed with no alternative. A worker said he would have to cross at the McDonalds roundabout. Since he could not get through without walking on the roundabout itself where cars are, he decided to cross the fields, ended up falling whilst trying to cross the river and was late for work, wet and muddy. Surely the Highways Agency must make pedestrian alternatives. He said the footpaths were covered beyond knee-deep with the earth they had excavated from the trenches around Towcester Road. He also tried to get through around the back of Wayside. Is there any other way through? He is a fit 22 year old. This is just not on for some of our more elderly residents who I know walk to Towcester. Highways Agency have a 15 day response peroid. Many thanks.
