Not surprising, let alone shocking, as he underwent a near-fatal liver transplant 11 years ago, and the statistical odds of his surviving more than 5 or 6 years more were very low, but for me Jack Bruces death is still a loss greater than most. He kept on gigging and recording almost till the end, and died at home surrounded by his loved ones. In his authorised biography, he states several times how privileged he considered himself to be to have led the life he had. But believe me, Jack, the privilege was all ours. — John Dodd Thanks John.
