Not that i give a ish but let me throw inn my 2cents analysis in the DA and Agang sagga, sins i love talking politics....The person who is confused here is Helen Zille. When you merge 2 entities, a new entity with a new name is the outcome. In this case, Zille didnt intend to merge with Agang, but was trying to Swallow Agang like she did with ID. The initial idea with ID was a merger, but instead ID died and De Lille was relegeted to a Mayor (From MP with ID to a Mayor with DA). With Mamphele being a presidential candidate, and lets say as a DA member but not the president of DA, you will have 2 centers of Power. 1 with Dr. Mamphele as the president of country, the other with DA & Helen. And we know where the decisions are made, at a party level. In this case, Dr. Mamphele was just going to be Helen ZIlles puppet. If Helen Zille really wanted to have Dr. Mamphele as president, she should have relinquished her position in DA, and give it to Dr. Mamphele as well. Then Mamphele would lead in both front. I as watched this circus unfold, it was obvious DA never wanted a Merger, as I listened to Lindiwe Mazibuko on E News, Tuesday evening saying that DA will remain DA and Mamphele will stand as a DA candidate and not a new entity. I dont buy the bull that Dr. Mamphele can not be trusted, I think what Helen Zille meant is that Dr. Mamphele is a strong character, her own person and can not be manipulated by Helen. Helen Zille doesnt like to be challenged, and I dont think Dr. Mamphele is a yes mam type of a person. Truth is, DA will remain a white party renting blacks to save face and to attract black people. Look at how Helen Zille attacked Thandi (DA Youth Leader), and how she overturned a decision by Lindiwe wrt Youth wage subsidy. HElen Zille put black people in front and pyull strings at the back. Unfortunately that was not to be the case with Dr. Mamphele. I am not a fan of those two women, and I still think Dr, Mamphele is not a politician, she must stick to being an academic!!!! Relax Mshana and vote ANC better the devil you know
