Not the news I wanted to hear... took Mason for his ear surgery follow up and his ear canal that was just opened has closed shut. Now he has to have another surgery next month to remove the ear drum that was built. The ear drum that was just built using some of Masons skin needs to be removed because it sheds skin cells and debris that exit through the ear canal. With his canal being closed, a build up of that stuff could cause a major infection and major problems down the road. Since his canal has closed off again, there is now no hope for hearing in the right ear without the use of a hearing aid. So while Mason is asleep for the above surgery they are also going to implant a hearing device through his skull on the back of his head. The hearing aid will snap onto the screw on his head. I hate the fact that he has to endure yet another surgery. I think this makes #11 or 12 and hes only 4! I wish I could trade places with him.
