Not to hijack the worldwide sensation of the ALS challenge but this is something to think about. Working on water projects in places like Cambodia bring to light the need to conserve water and more so, to stop water being use as a weapon against civilians... the sad truth about the occupation in Gaza... Im not here to downplay ALS. It is fantastic they manage to raise millions for it. Truly remarkable.It is great and I applaud the genius that came up with this viral fund raising. But at the same time, let us not downplay other challenges people are facing just because celebrities are not doing it.... I have friends father who has motor neuron disease, people I know who has who had some kind of motor neuron disease. It is obviously not something we should just wash away with a bucket of ice water. For those who are suffering from any kind of motor neuron disease.... and I acknowledge the fear and the uncertainty faced by their family and themselves... they need someone to be by their side.... to make them feel that they are still apart of this humanity... if its me... I would rather Adopt an ALS Patient Challenge.... but that would be just too hard.... Truly hope they find a cure or something to reduce the debilitating disease.... it is no joke... and if one day I have ALS... dont throw cold water on my party....
