Not what I wanted to hear, but not unexpected!! For those following the medical drama which is my life, I saw my third and final neurosurgeon today in Tulsa. He gave me the news that I had been dreading. I will not get any more use of my leg back. He also does not believe that doing another surgery to relieve the compressed nerves will result in any increased function of the leg. But he did give me an alternative to relieving the pain. I am looking at a spinal cord stimulator. While it will not improve the numbness, it will block the pain from the irritated nerves. Anyone who has had any dealings with these, I would love the input!!!
