Nothing but GOD…..I am extremely, grateful and honored to be receiving the Youth Interlock’s Salute for Community Heroes award on Friday, August 29, 2014, Renaissance Airport Hotel, for my tireless efforts to make a difference in our community. I am earnestly grateful for the recognition I have received for my contribution. I want to thank Dr. Earl Pearsall, Jr. and his committee members for selecting me for this prestigious award. I have faced several challenges on my way here, but each has only strengthened me to be a better person. I believe I am someone who sets her eyes on a goal and does not take them off it unless it is achieved. This award could not have been achieved without the inspiration, support that I have received from my Board members, Tracie M. Burns, Dawn Vann, Alicia Stewart, Rev. William Rocky Brown. I have deep respect, admiration and love for them. I sincerely want to thank every one of you on FB for your encouraging words, those that make donations to CHOICES, and those that have supported our many events over the past 12 years.
