The obstacles of your past can become the gateways that lead to new beginnings.” - Ralph Blum Today marks the one year benchmark my father ill-fatedly fell into a grand-mal seizure. Last year on this day and early into Christmas morning, myself, as well as the rest of my family CAT scan and MRI results to find reason for this very unexpected event. After what felt like days, when in reality was hours, we found a tumor that was putting a significant amount of pressure on his brain. I saw many things this day, some I would like to forget. However, it is experiences like these that create and instill the foundation for thankfulness. Moments like these help us all to see the worth in what and who we have. Event such as these help us all to see the beauty, delicacy, and unpredictable nature life holds. If nothing else, I have learned life is entirely too short, and we shouldnt forget the worth of yesterday, today, and especially tomorrow. Here’s to a blessed holiday filled with laughter, love, and gratitude. Merry Christmas
