Nothing like coming home to a $7000 Bill from the IRS for under reporting for the 2012 tax year to get my anxiety and blood pressure off the chart. I use a tax accountant it would be impossible for me to under report as I dont have a cash business . Its all traceable . I found the problem in 2 minutes flat and called the IRS. The mistake was theirs. They entered a 1099 from my royalty check wrong. Instead of the $195.45 I earned, they keyed in $19,545!!! Ha...I wish I earned that much on my old royalties...... Phew....all solved, they will send me a you owe us nothing letter. I did ask the agent if she could send me $25 for the 5 years they took off my life while I was in a panic. She seemed quite shocked that I had a sense of humor about the whole thing.
