Nothing protects the heart like patience. Dont get your hopes up to fast. Dont let your fears speak too loud. Dont give your doubts too much time. Not everyone is built to handle the rough times. Dont be surprised when you fall off with certain people. Few people understand what it means to really be there for someone. And thats the toughest part about being on a journey: you realize the main ones that said they will ride with you are alot of the time the first ones to fall off. Alot of the times people make promises when the sun is shining and make excuses when the rain comes. Be thankful for the rain...it washes away the unnecessary. The reality is you can be an amazing, genuine and sincere person but still be overlooked because honestly, alot of people dont want something real anymore...its too much responsibility....and would rather just have something to complain about and excuses to avoid. Having a good thing is so hard because meeting a strong person is so rare. So I have learned to respect when people "run" from me as I realize that my kind of love isnt for everybody. And I am at peace with that.
