Nothing stands more in the way of learning than ones fear of failure. When the fear is more powerful than our resolve we will fail to make the attempt or to try again. Stepping Stones There was this little creek I once tried to leap across But in my first attempt I slipped upon the moss I then fell into the water and got completely wet Dressed-up in my Sunday best this I’d not forget So upon a stepping stone I placed my foot with care Reaching ever gently I crossed to over there At last I reached my goal and had learned a thing or two Having then succeeded this conclusion I then drew In the choosing of a goal though slightly out of reach Choose your stepping stones with care then step upon them each Though the goal you have selected be slightly further out Know that you’ll soon reach it of this there’ll be no doubt FAM
