At the end of September, Jackie Hills sadly resigned from the board, as she has moved to Nelspruit and felt she couldnt offer her full commitment to the gallery, attend meeting, planning sessions etc, now that she wasnt close by. This is a quote from Jackie It has really been an honour to be involved with you all in getting iNyoka up and running. You have all done an astounding job! It makes me very proud every time I see a picture. Thank you Jackie for all of your enthusiasm, ideas and help over the last 2 years of planning and renovations. You were a very necessary spoke in getting the wheel turning. Since the gallery opened last month, Nicki Giles has been assisting Faith with systems, stock control, sales, communication and so forth. She was also instrumental in the setting up of our grand opening, and single handedly organised the entire auction procedure. In a board meeting last night, we had a unanimous vote of confidence in Nickis abilities and dedication. She was approached to become a board member, and we are very pleased (and thankful) that Nicki has accepted. Nicki already runs a shop at the Silk Farm, and has exceptional organisational skills (including organising parties, which as we know is key in this town) ;) Welcome Nicki! We look forward to seeing all members at our Strategic Planning Session this Saturday. Such exciting plans in the pipeline!
