#Notice To Ekiti Pensioners# I have received several calls and SMS from pensioners in Ekiti State concerning the payment of their pension, which many of them claimed they have not received. I wish to inform the pensioners as follows: 1. Delay in crediting the pensioners account emanated from the banks. 2. For instance, First Bank Plc only credited the pensioners accounts yesterday, claiming that it could not operate because of unfavourable security situation (Ifaki branch of the bank was robbed last week). Pensioners having accounts in First Bank can now access their fund through ATM. 3: Other banks like Skye, Wema, etc have since credited the pensioners accounts. 4. Union Bank will pay today, while GtBank is having issues with its cheque. The issue will be resolved today. 5. Payment schedule for Sept pension of LG pensioners (i.e. Pry Sch teachers, Local Council workers, Treasury Cash Officers, etc) has been sent to the banks.
