November and college football will be magical mix of chaos, - TopicsExpress

November and college football will be magical mix of chaos, confusion, and catastrophe for the following reasons: 1) Alabama still has LSU to deal with, not to mention a surprise Auburn team, and a SEC championship game (and everyone called them a shoo-in for the championship game) 2) Oregon is coasting into the teeth of a Stanford team which spoiled them last year as well, and this year Stanfords the home team 3) Ohio St. is quietly looking like the best team no ones talking about, but they still have a possible Big 10 champ game against a surprise Michigan St. 4) Florida State may look to have it easy but the Florida Gators are sitting on the tail of that schedule with nothing to lose and everything to gain, not to mention if FSU gets through that, theyll probably rematch against a pissed off Miami in the ACC Champ game (though FSU is better but when its a matter of vengeace you never know...) 5) That Stanford team I was just talking about is set up for failure of their own at the most inopportune time with a visit to USC following, what I predict will be, their emotional victory over Oregon and if they get past that, to finish the year, they still face a Notre Dame team that is peaking at the right time... and Stanford would then have to get through a Pac-12 Champ game (which at the moment isnt much of a challenge given the top of the South division but you never know) 6) Baylor. Holy *explicative* Baylor! They have had the easiest first 7 games of any schedule ever, and now must face the toughest 5 games of any schedule ever (OU, Texas Tech, OSU, TCU, Texas with no bye weeks). If this Baylor team is worth anything, we will find out very soon. As much as Id like them to be, they wont make it. 7) That leaves Clemson, Mizzou, Auburn, and OU rounding out the current Top 10 who all have a part to play in the potential chaos above them, and also each face a test from the low teen rankings just above them, which could disrupt their chances of benefiting from the above chaos. This has been a long winded way of saying November will be crazy, that my prediction for the championship game is OU vs. UCF (sarcasm (though the possibility of the two facing off in a BCS bowl is by no means a stretch of the imagination)), and that anyone reading this far is certainly my friend because you care enough about college football to sit through all this rambling about its craziness. To you, friend, I say thank you.
