November is a difficult month for me. The 18th is the anniversary of Aunt Diannes death. Mom was in the hospital last year at this time and it was touch and go for a while. One week ago my boyfriend of 8 months broke up with me via text. It was my first breakup and I thought he was my true love. I can safely say that November is one of my least favorite times and this one has definitely broken into the top three most terrible Novembers. That shouldnt taint Thanksgiving though. There is ALWAYS something to be thankful for. I am thankful to Ashley, who held me late into the night as I wept that first night. I am thankful to Angela, who helped me get rid of everything that made me think of him. I am thankful to my parents, who prayed with me as I searched for answers. I am thankful for Cory and Laura, who made me eat when I couldnt. I am thankful for Tony, who told me everything would get better and who made me believe that concept to the point of being able to sleep for the first time in days. Im thankful for my boss, Kay, and our office staff who stuffed my pockets with tissues that first day. I am thankful to the therapy team and the Mexican food we will eat next week. (I lost the bet, Im buying, ladies.) Im thankful to my fellow nurses. Hospitals dump of Fridays, and we are horribly busy, so I worked the day after the breakup. I got three calls from ladies just as busy as me offering help, thank you Misty and Becky and all of the others. Thank you Emily and Meleah for (hopefully) not judging me as I really tried to hang out but I was also fighting off a panic attack. Thanks Brandi and Paola and Meggy and Savanna and Jenny for the constant texts. I am thankful to God for breaking the relationship. I am thankful to those I am forgetting. Thank you every person who was kind and gentle with me when I just couldnt handle anything else. I always try to take care of people. This year, I am thankful for the people who have taken care of me. This, ladies and gentlemen is true love.
