Novembers Plant of the Month, Burning Bush Fall is upon us and so is its abundance of beautiful colors. One of which is the Euonymus alatus, or Burning Bush. Commonly unnoticed throughout the year because of its ordinary appearance, this shrub blazes bright for about two weeks in early autumn. Originating from central China and Korea, this member of the Staff-Tree Family is very adaptable to a variety of soil conditions. Fertile to sterile, organic to clay, acidic to alkaline, rocky to sandy; but it does not tolerate wet soils. The Burning Bush is a great addition to your landscape and adds a wonderful burst of color during the autumn season.
