Now Accepting Applications for Loyola Stritch ASPIRE Program ASPIRE is designed to prepare and support pre-medical students who want to pursue a career in medicine and have a desire to advocate for underserved communities. During the five week program, students are exposed to a comprehensive curriculum that integrates science courses, shadowing opportunities, professional development, and a community service project. Our distinct summer experience not only provides students with a competitive edge for medical school but also exposes participants to innovative solutions for addressing health disparities. WHO: Pre-medical students from underrepresented backgrounds who meet the following requirements: • Must be an AMCAS applicant for the 2016 cycle • Must take the MCAT no later than May 2015 (before ASPIRE program begins) • United States citizenship, permanent resident, or DACA eligible • Strong academic record with demonstrated commitment to community service WHAT: Participants in the summer program will receive: • $1,200 stipend for five weeks • Free housing on campus • AMCAS application assistance • Meal card to defray cost of food • Mock admissions interview • Weekly physician shadowing WHEN: Application deadline has been extended to Feb. 13, 2015. • For more information and to review the application, visit stritch.luc.edu/content/aspire
