Now I know that myself and a few others have been bigging up - TopicsExpress

Now I know that myself and a few others have been bigging up Jekyll and Hyde for months now on this very site, in what the more cynical among you may suggest is a shameless attempt to maximise ticket sales. But having got through a relatively smooth tech run yesterday following some unbelievably hard work and industry from our production team over the weekend, let me share my observations with you: 1. The Hub is a fabulous theatre to put on a show and you can already sense the intimacy the audience will feel with the cast from the very first note. 2. The set and staging is fabulous 3. The lighting and atmospheric effects created by Lance Milton are amazing. 4. Penny and her team have done us absolutely proud with great period costumes that capture the essence of Victorian England 5. The band at band-call on Friday were terrific and got all the cast very, very excited. 6. The storyline and musical score grips you from the word go, and the casts interpretation will have you on the edge of your seats. 7. Its worth coming for the programme alone. 8. I will leave this one blank for Melinda to put something about how wonderful Bisset the Apothecary is............. I know I am a bit biased, but in my relatively modest 12 years experience, I honestly cannot remember being this excited about putting on a show before (except perhaps for my very first show which is always special.......) So if there are any waverers, any of the 171 followers of this FB Group who have yet to buy tickets, anyone who thinks that leaving your kids home alone for three hours, or living 5000 miles away in Canada (Jen and Sim!) are actually acceptable excuses - YOU HAVE SIMPLY GOT TO COME AND SEE IT! Only a few tickets left now - get on that website and snap them up before its too late.....
