Now I participate in the academic conference by the Japanese Society for Historical Studies on Higher Education. I belong to this association as a member and manage the budget as accounting. My reporting burden about financial issues will take in a couple of hours. When I was graduate student, of course I studied historical views of higher education. But it was just a part of my study including Ph.D work. I am not historian so something difficult for me due to too much conceptual or philosophical. But todays lecture was fantastic. It was done by professor Adam Nelson from University of Wisconsin madison. His critics to the common practice, american universities look German university as the model. He pointed out German influences were just a part of inspiration for modern university in the United States. Im curious about that...
