Now, Id like to get into what I call my Teaching Songs, because I used them to teach my piano and guitar students. But, they were suggested by my students in Boise. This first song, also by Merle Haggard, is actually in Ab, while I do not use a capo with my beginner students. Neither did he. Nonetheless, we played it in G, but Im quite sure Mr. Haggard will forgive the error. I did inform them that they could not play in G and play with you. Still, they had to learn somehow...
