Now Ofsted have published a report on the state of Britains social care, saying that more than half of councils are failing to protect the countrys most vulnerable children. Speaking about the findings Chief Inspector of Schools and Social Care, Sir Michael Wilshaw has said that despite these worrying statistics, child neglect is not the fault of local authorities alone. He believes a much bigger problem is bad parenting. But is it fair to blame just the parents for kids who go off the rails? Or should schools and teachers take some responsibility for childrens behavior Is it true that the community you grow up in shapes your path in life? Was your surrounding environment (e.g. the friends you grew up with, the area you were brought up in, the social class you were brought up in) a big factor in the path you chose in life?
