& Now a break from our regularly scheduled (KS) programming??? After reencountering Holocene last week, Sam & I tumbled back down a Bon Iver rabbit hole that hasnt let up. BIs self-titled record will always be Autumn 2011 for the 2 of us - 2nd grade, the year he and I returned to AK, not an easy year by a long stretch, and the autumn I started writing songs again after a 10 year absence from the craft. Now, a week later, Sams requesting I dial up this gorgeous set almost daily. I get out to the car & he has it playing on the car stereo. Its magical to see him so moved by this impressive performance. Worth watching, for sure - for how stripped down it is, there is a ton going on here that audio- & studio-philes will appreciate - but its also just perfect background music if you arent in a place to sit still and take it all in:
