Now, for my 4th day of the 7 days of thanks: Today I am so, so - TopicsExpress

Now, for my 4th day of the 7 days of thanks: Today I am so, so thankful to have worked at Monadnock Regional High School, Swanzey, NH for 26 years. It was truly my home away from home. Every morning, when I went through those front doors, I felt like I was going home. And, the students were my kids . I loved them so much. Willie and I will see the kids out and about different places and they talk with me and we hug and all that stuff, and he says one of your kids? Ill say you betcha! Im still friends with so many of them. I cherish the friendships. They taught me a lot and, hopefully, I taught them a few things. And, the teachers and the staff including Maintenance and the kitchen help and the Guidance Department and the secretaries - they are all the best. We were all friends and were there for one another. Second, I am very thankful to be a member of the Combat Vets Motorcycle Association (CVMA). What a great association. CVMA is all about Vets helping Vets. It is truly an awesome group of people that I am proud to call my friends. Soldiers are a special breed of people, Ill tell you that. It warms my heart every time we are together to see them hugging one another and calling each other brother or sister. Thats what they truly are to one another. And, their significant others are the best! Love you ladies. Third, I want to say how grateful I am for my childhood friends. You know who you are. We go back a long way. When we see each other, it almost seems like we pick right up where we left off ;) One of them told me a while back that she truly considered my sister and I her sisters and she loved our Mom and Dad as if they were her Mom and Dad. What an honor, for me, that was. Theres just something really, really special about your childhood friends. And, now I challenge Francine Wright to do the 7 days of thanks.
