Now hell breaks loose because I have posted this everywhere on Facebook *lol*. I hope the little FAQ (frequently asked questions) that I have added on my main FB-profile helps a little... When you are close to release a new CD you get a million of messages in which tiny magazines ask for a promotion CD. In general this interest is great and small zines are important too when you take all of them together, but it is a miracle to me why they all ask the bands themselves. Bandmembers usually have their two or three copies of their own CD at home and that´s it. And you definitely can´t forward them all. What I have noticed is that most requests come from more exotic countries and the text is often the same, they just replace the name of the band...Thanks god promo agencies are working for our label! The other question is where can I buy this CD? People from Germany should simply start getting back into REAL shops again! One reasons why we are happy with Golden Core/ZYX is that they are a real record company with products in shops like Media Markt, Saturn or Müller. They might be not as deep in those underground circles like some of the previous labels (High Roller was in German shops too, so I don´t talk about them here), but Manilla Road should be in real shops. Also the CD will be avaiable at the big stores like Nuclear Blast or EMP:) The physical sales in Germany are still over 70%!!! I know that it´s different in the USA. Whatever, all those smaller shops and vendors can order the CD at ZYX. If they don´t have it....they didn´t order!
