Now its, time, and now the girls are ready......... As small toddlers and girls my two always had a book in their hand, loved their stories and bedtime stories.... Fi always loved sitting down with a book and looking at the pictures, and making her own stories from the pictures.... Ri too, but also could read the simple words and enjoy as well as memorising the words.... Since school their passion for reading and books have become stale and stagnant. Also hindering their passion for books. However, of late their wonder and interest of books have slowly been coming back. With also feedback from school ffion now needs to put effort into her reading and writing. So now they are reading, willing and able is time to put the work in. Ri has had a book for a few months she has wanted to read but never finds the time.... As always playing. And ffion, though playing school at home is also wanting to crack on. So I have given them a summer challenge..... Rhiannon needs to read this big book the demon dentist and have started gangster granny as well as every few chapters, writing what she remembers.... As she always says she cant remember what she read, or doesnt understand.... Ffion over the summer has to read, 15 of her favourite baby books she loved when small and write them out too ( harsh it sounds but really not, for example why I love my mummy and Bella and Ben in the big red bath. They excited about doing it and want to do it .... And get them ready for a tough year ahead in school..... So reading and writing on the beach, in parks etc as well as loads of play of course..... These girls always work hard through play.... And now like to have quiet moments but dont know what to do ..... So this will work well And of course mummy certainly has her summer challenge as I never have time to read.... Well make time So I have to finish my massive book, read a but of academia, finish my research proposal and more writing Busy summer amongst having lots of fun and playful adventures.....
