Now onto the last couple of tours. NAS Oceana. What a great shore duty? One of the best bases that you could serve on, nothing like watching the beautiful jets flying overhead every day. My best friend still today was stationed at NAS when I got there. Beth and I had the pleasure of hanging out with Tim Coffey and his beautiful wife Gayla. I still talk with Tim as often as I can. Keeping in touch with him is important to me we vent to each other about the little frustrations we have. I love watching his family grow and hearing about their new adventures. I hope that they move a little closer in their next duty station as flying for me is not really an option. There were many more at Oceana that I really enjoyed working with, Jessica, B, Pete K, Deece, O’Banion, Mr. Wright, Jones and of course my cousin Dr. Amy Weise. Onto PNMC and the O.R. crew. Larry Sutterfield, the social meka of the OR. Always made sure that those who were leaving had a good send off and he made a great PIT boss. He knew the ortho department inside and out. Felipe Martinez, taught me a lot in the OR. He was the first guy that I scrubbed with. It’s great to see how successful you are today. Charito Costa loved the visits when I was in the ortho supply department. Jon Alexander, Jennifer Newhouse, so glade you two got together. You make a great couple. Of course the night crew, Daryl Johnson, Dan Goulding, Chad Sinclair, Matthew Ryley, I don’t think I would have made it through the shift without you guys. You all worked your asses off. Not that it ever happened but the card games and Halo nights were a good damn time. . Anoop Shamim, once an active member in the USN now walking down the carpet of the famous. Shamim has always had a smile on his face no matter the situation. Always had a positive attitude and looked to the positives and never dwells on the negatives. What a great man this person has become. I know that I am missing people and it is not intentional. I am getting old and can’t remember a whole lot. Just want you all to know how blessed I am to have worked with such amazing people. And to thank all of you for the rolls you played in shaping my life. Enjoy this Veterans Day, I hope you all have fond memories of those you served with. Never forget those that can’t celebrate with us. God bless you all and thank you for what you have gone through for the pride of a nation.
