Now pick up the other arrows and strike them against the floor. So - TopicsExpress

Now pick up the other arrows and strike them against the floor. So the king picked them up and struck the floor three times. But the prophet was angry with him. “You should have struck the floor five or six times,” he exclaimed, “for then you would have beaten Syria until they were entirely destroyed; now you will be victorious only three times” (2 Kings 13:18-19 TLB). Hallelujah! Welcome to the month of July and to the second half of this special year of Favour! In the first half of this year, we experienced supernatural grace and the Lord caused us to walk in unprecedented favour. In the month of February, we made supernatural progress. In March, we sang to the Lord from our hearts because His goodness overwhelmed us. In the month of April, we testified of the things that He has accomplished in us and of who we are in Christ. In May, the Lord launched us into a season for advancing; and in the month of June, we prevailed in prayer by His mighty power. Glory! It’s truly been a glorious year for us; however, God has positioned you for greater glories in the months ahead and as you begin the second half of this year of Favour, you must avoid the temptation to stay in your “comfort zone”. There are those who think that it seems to make sense to follow the adage, “A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.” Unfortunately when you’re like this, you lose the drive to press and push the extra mile to enjoy all the wonderful blessings God has prepared for you in this special year. This was the kind of situation that made Elisha so angry with King Joash. The land was in danger, and the king had come running to the prophet for help. “Alright,” Elisha said to him, “Get a bow and some arrows; open the window and shoot one arrow; this is the Lord’s arrow, full of victory over Syria; for you will completely conquer the Syrians.” Elisha continued, “pick up the other arrows and strike them against the floor.” To the prophet’s annoyance, the king struck the ground three times and stopped. “Why did you stop?!” Elisha bellowed, “Instead of destroying your enemy, you’ll defeat them just three times.” The king should’ve continued striking the ground until the Prophet said stop, but like many people, he lacked the revelation to see God’s plan and settled for less than God’s best. I urge you today to keep testifying of who you are in Christ, stay conscious that your season for advancing does not have an end and continue in prayer without ceasing. This is the will of God concerning you and as you do this way, you’ll keep moving from glory to glory. Hallelujah! You may not know the great things God has planned for your life this month and in the remaining months of this year, but it’s your responsibility to keep pressing into God. Don’t be satisfied with anything less than God’s perfect will for you. Always remember that if God could do for you whatever you’re enjoying now, He can take you to even higher levels. Hallelujah! Finally, ensure that you participate in the Global Communion Service for the month of July this Sunday, 7th of July. Get ready to receive that specific Word from the Lord that’ll take you further into the plan of God for you this year. Prepare specially for this service and invite your friends and loved ones too. Take advantage of this opportunity to vacalize your faith and post your comments and expectations for this second half of the year. God bless you!
