Now that I am home again from Hirslanden Clinic I am in the process of piercing bits of information together to get an hopefully accurate picture of the last few days about most of which I have no recollection at all! So here we go: We had a nice visit of our daughter Nicole with her two Kids. It was all nice and peaceful. Than on Saturday apparently Valerie found me outside our dwelling laying on the back, unconscious, with blue lips and a blue face. She must have called Nicole right away who started to reanimate me for a long time. This and the recently implanted DEFI brought me back from the underworld straight to the IPS of the local hospital where further emergency measures were taken and given before being driven to the specialized heart clinic Hirslanden in Zürich. A check of heart showed several massive coronary blockages which were opened up by the "balloon" method. The most serious damage, however, was done to one of the main branches of the coronary artery. It showed a 95% closure just where it branched off the main heart artery and would have meant certain death had it not been treated swiftly. This, of course, was done and now I am home again, albeit with plenty of very strong pains and aches. I am so thankful to my Family for their fast, competent and caring handling of this incident. The same, of course, must be said about the staff of the various Hospitals into whose hands my wellbeing and indeed my life was put. And now, with the aid of my Family, friends and acquaintances I am back on the long and stony road to recovery, fully aware that one more time I have fallen off the devils wagon and that I cannot bank on many more Repetition of such happenings.
