Now that Zimmerman has be acquitted, things could get out of control – quickly. The NCAAP said last night: “We will update you as we work to pursue civil rights charges against Zimmerman through the DOJ.” (Translation: “We will pressure Barack Obama and Eric “My People” Holder to give ‘us’ the ‘justice’ we were denied in Florida.”) Within moments of the verdict, New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz tweeted a not-at-all-that-veiled threat: “Zimmerman doesn’t last a year before the hood catches up to him.” (Translation: Not really necessary, is it?) So again, will Barack Obama do the responsible thing and call for calm – or will he remain silent, just as he did, when, among other threats, the New Black Panthers issued a bounty for Zimmerman – prior to (politically-motivated) charges (finally) being filed against him nearly two months after the shooting occurred? It will be an interesting day. Barack Obama will be part of the story – one way or the other. Will it be because he speaks out – or because he doesn’t?
