Now that i am on mandatory bed rest also known as house arrest by my brother as ordered by my doctor, i keep thinking about the crisis in syria, crimea, and the inability of the united nations to address these crucial international issues. And I miss how we discuss things esp in the classes of ms zeny, ms claire, ms weena, madam doray, and madam etemadi. I miss how we debate in class. I miss the sharpening of our tools of analysis and gender lens. I miss the tambayans. I miss the student politics. I miss the street foods. I miss being asked by the guards to stop the small group discussions and leave the campus because it is already beyond 10pm. I miss the non airconditioned and old library with books we carefully read. I miss the fora we either organize or attend too. I miss the carenderias. I miss the blue books. I miss those sleepless nights. I miss UP.
