Now that some time has passed, here is what happened. I found out about the Open Episcopal Church earlier this year. I became involved in some of their online activities. A bishop decided to visit the US in October for a congress. When I got to Maryland for the congress, I was not just ignored, but shunned. I almost left the first night, but stayed for the event. Events were changed at the last minute several times and I was not informed. They showed me a complete lack of respect or decency. I got in my car after the congress and started driving. If you read my Facebook and Twitter pages, you got some of what was happening while I was coming back home. I went from angry to furious to white hot rage to steely determination that nothing like this would ever happen again. I have talked to some of the people involved. A couple have apologized. One has not returned my latest message. The bishop is being very emotionally manipulative and is also trying to blame me. I made some mistakes, but that does not excuse what happened in any way, shape or form. I used to blame myself when things like this have happened, but not now.
