Now that you have seen that I have a great passion for our schools, I would like to offer up an idea to everyone reading this board. All of is have a passion, and that we can agree on is to provide better opportunities at our schools so our kids can prosper in life. I would like to challenge each of you to the following. Patty Hansgen-Sanford and Jared Fritz, I ask you specifically as although you each have different ideas about how we achieve this, you both have this same passion. Lets agree that whether the vote is yes or no, that we explore ways to improve our school or schools. We all have sports and music booster clubs. Lets agree to explore our passions by forming an academic booster club. Jared you mentioned on-line classes. Funds are going to be needed to provide tablets to students who cannot afford them. Lets find away to get this done. Lets market our schools and work with our communities, alumni, businesses. Lets find away to pull together to help buy supplies for our classrooms so teachers are not having to do this themselves. Lets use the passions from this process and pull together to help with the problem. I cannot vote and cannot serve on the board, but I would certainly support this effort and I believe the opportunity to do this is ripe and should be a top priority once you determine whether we consolidate or not. We have great communities with great people. I am asking for everyone to get behind this and lets work together to show the state of Illinois there are other ways to accomplish what you as a state have failed to do !!
