Saturday August 17 is National Honey Bee Day. OBBA will once again be participating in this great fun event. Bottle up your honey, make your candles, lip balms and potions and start cooking those delicious jams, jellies and baked goods. We have the Exhibit Hall, Azalea and Rose Rooms at the Extension offices so will have a repeat of our May event. The Honey Queens will put on cooking demos in the Rose Room, J.R. Denamn will show a short documentary and host the "Ask the Beekeeper" forum and we will sell our goods in the Exhibit Hall. Show up at 9:00 a.m. to set up tables. Bring decorations for your own table. As usual, we will be at the Extension offices located at 6021 S. Conway Road, Orlando, the event will be open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Volunteers and exhibitors are to arrive by 9:00 and are expected to help set up and take down. They are cut with rounded corners and are plastic coated. He can take your artwork and make a label. He already has the Cottage Food label as a template and can print them easily and cheaply. His number is: 407-399-3702. You can sell your honey, jams and jellies, candles, beauty products, etc. at this event.
