“Now there was a man of Benjamin, whose name was Kish, a Benjamite, a mighty man of power.”1 Samuel 9:1. The Oasis of Hope Devotional for 2day! DESPITE YOUR BACKGROUND, U CAN MAKE IT! Benjamin was d last son of Jacob & therefore d least tribe in Israel. The house of Benjamin was an unlikely source for someone who was destined to become a king. Beloved, great tragedy happens when a tree dies in a seed. God created u great, don’t die unknown! Yo greatness isnt a function of yo background but it’s a function of Gods design for u. U may be unknown, unemployed, disappointed, frustrated, unhappy at work, or maybe u may have come into this world as a result of a painful past. Yo family may not even be good enough but it cannot undermine yo destiny! As human, we naturally expect those with good background to be at d top. The most qualified to get d job & d most connected to be in power. Despite his background, Saul was chosen to become d first King of Israel. Barak Obama was born to an unknown Kenyan immigrant. Today, he is d president of U.S. Goodluck Jonathan, was d son of a poor fisherman. Today, he is d president of Nigeria. God doesn’t play favorites — regardless of yo background or yo status. His grace is available to everyone. Grace enables u to make it, no matter what. U may not have all it takes but u’ll get to d top. U may not be favored by those in authority but u’ll be promoted. U may not look good enough but yo marriage is unstoppable! Today, where u’re going is far more important than where u have been. Stop looking back. Get ready to move from zero to hero. Get ready to move from grass to grace. Get ready for yo Cinderella story! Be faithful in d small things. Don’t compare yoself with others. Develop a plan for improvement. Believe in God! Believe in yoself! Despite yo background, God will pick u for d peak! “He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap, to make them sit with princes, with the princes of his people.” Psalm 113:7-8. Prayer: in this month of March, my background will not stop my march to greatness, in Jesus mighty name. Hav a Triumphant day! U re unstoppable! Shalom.
