Now this is a report we can agree with, small scale farmers, agroecology and localisation will feed the vast majority of the world. What this UN report exposes about the Australian governments obsession with large industrial farms, associated research and exports, is that it is not about feeding the world (or Australians for that matter), but all about feeding corporate profits. Agroecology is one concept that the food sovereignty civil society organisations have got onto the agenda at the highest level. Now we need to do our part with local, state and national initiatives in Australia! Fair Food Week is one such an initiative, check out the facebook page and create or join an event near you :-)
