Now *this* is disturbing. If you told me that the cop had run this guys information and he was on the run from a murder warrant, then maybe I would understand the cops reaction. But absent something like that, what is the cops reaction based on? Yes, police officers have reason to be scared, but based on what can be seen in this video, if the cop had only drawn his gun and ordered the man to put his hands up, that still would have been an overreaction. But all of that aside, WHY DOES THE COP START SHOOTING? Theres no point where the cop tells the man to put up his hands and the driver fails to comply. The cop just goes from friendly to shooting in about one second. I am all for cops being given the benefit of the doubt and understand they have a very tough job, but if things like this are happening, there is a lot more wrong with cop culture and training than I ever believed. Yes, I know its just one cop in one altercation, but its still frightening to think about all the lapses that allow something like this to happen.
