Now, this is what we need. Listen carefully, and dont miss the message. I work in this type if environment. Im the black woman who is still confused with the other black woman who worked at the college for years. In essence, our identities as individuals were masked by the black woman label. Some people say Hi, Brenda. Brenda retired a few years ago. We look nothing alike; shes a fairly tall woman. Its hurtful to find colleagues dont see me for me. Heck, been working there 15 years and people still cannot call me by my correct name. Im the black woman. So sad!
