Now we’re up to our Long Distance Dedication. This is a letter Casey read on the air, the weekend of April 9th 2006. It’s from a listener in Virginia named Tina and her letter is about friendship. Here’s what she writes: Dear Casey, My name is Debbie. When I was about 14 or 15, we lived in what my mother called the Leach Pit. Every time it rained, the plumbing backed up into our apartment. It was while living in that apartment that I met my best friend, Estella. She was more like the sister I never had. Estella and I did everything together, sleep overs and stuff like that. You name it; we did it all. One day, we had to move out of that place and it broke Estellas heart. She looked at my mom as her mom, and my stepfather as her father. I talked to her a few times after we moved. But then, we lost touch. Casey, my mother passed away back in 2001. I really needed Estella then, and I need her now. Ive tried to find her, but couldnt. Casey, Estella and I we’re both huge Bon Jovi fans. The one song we always listened to was Ill Be There For You. So could you please play that song and tell Estella that I love her and miss her very much? She was always there for me then; and I want to be there for her now. Sincerely, Debra P.S.
