Nukeproof Pulse DH Frame - £1000.00 The Pulse is the result of two seasons of development input from the riders and mechanics of Team CRC/Nukeproof competing on the DH World Cup circuit – a frame built to meet the demands of professional racers on any course with improved and simplified rider tunability. The evolution of our highly acclaimed Nukeproof Scalp race rig, the Pulse features updated geometry and enhanced design features for a hugely improved ride dynamic, and introduces our new Style Fit adjustable chainstay. Interchangeable dropout inserts allow you to alter the wheelbase by 10mm depending on the type of track you’re riding, your height or riding style (long setting = 445mm, short setting = 435mm). Whatever the conditions, the Pulse can be adapted to excel! The heart of the matter. At the beating heart of the Pulse is its suspension system, an improved version of Nukeproof’s proven three-stage Fallout Linkage offering an instinctive platform that’s been fine-tuned to take on the world’s highest, fastest, steepest and most gnarly trails. We’ve refined the linkage which introduces our Teardrop Technology twin links which add lateral stiffness with improved handling and stability during suspension compression resulting in a more stable bike and a smoother suspension feel throughout the stroke of the shock, pushing you to ride on the edge of what’s possible. We’ve also slimmed down the swingarm significantly, minimising the unsprung weight and improving square-edge bump compliance without compromising strength. Our Split Forge System allows us to utilise the material properties of the frame to improve lateral stiffness and provide a stronger yet lighter yoke while reducing the number of welds, allowing a larger area to disperse any loads and forces applied. Race-bred, test-proven. Built using T6 6061 aluminium with custom triple-butted hydroformed tubing for a perfectly balanced strength to weight combination, the Pulse has been designed with a view to refining and improving all aspects, from tubing and bearings to cable guides and pinch bolts. A slack 63-degree head angle and centrally-positioned shock and linkage system ensure optimum race handling while other features include a true 1.5” head tube, ISCG 05 mounts and a 150mm x 12mm rear axle to keep things stable at the rear. We’ve also designed the frame to be easily serviceable, with improved bolt and shock access for home mechanics.
